Escaping the winter of Zürich for the more temperate Rome for the weekend, I was able to grab some incredible photos of the romanticized city.

Between the ruins and the...well, ruins, lay fun neighborhoods (Trastevere), exotic parks (Villa Borghese), and cheap espresso.

One things that was amazing to witness was a small group huddled together near the Colosseum, helping an injured bird. One of its toes was swollen and they were attempting to pull out some sort of obstruction. Quite an interesting scene to happen upon.
